There is something magical going on in Athens, Georgia. At least, that is the way I like to think about it. Some absolutely amazing catalogs (yes, I have them on my nightstand!) have expressed interest in carrying The Pearl Girls jewelry. Which, causes me to really reach out into our community and find more women who are experienced pearl knotters or interested in learning how to knot pearls. I want to be ready to meet increasing demands for our cultured pearls. It is exciting and scary and nerve wrecking and a major learning experience. But, guess what happens when I get out into this magical town and start looking for women who align with my vision? I find them!
I have connected with some fantastic women (and men!) who, like us, are mammas perfecting the work/life/children balance. They are incredibly talented and artistic and love to master the perfect pearl necklace. It feels like magic. It is the alignment of this perfect business that I think we are creating.. gorgeous pearls? (check!), sustainably produced? (check!), heirloom quality jewelry (check!), awesome group of women who create our designs (check!), the amazing feeling that we are giving away more in value than our customers are giving us in money (check, check, check!). I am so blessed to be a Pearl Girl!
