Tonight is the fabulous benefit ball for the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. The theme of tonight’s ball is “Midnight in Paris…An Elegant Soirée” and guests will enjoy a formal, seated dinner with fanciful French cuisine, live jazz and dancing in a Parisian setting.
I will not be at the ball tonight but each year my dear family friend Sissy asks me to donate a piece to the silent auction. Sissy was my mom’s roommate in college and, as with most long-time family friends, I am so happy to say “yes!” to anything she asks. Plus, she is so supportive of The Pearl Girls and has been since the very beginning. So, tonight we unveil one of our newest creations..
I discovered these gorgeous pearls on my most recent trip through Asia. They are big baroque pearls with wings. I affectionately call them Angel Wing Pearls. Although most of my designers thought these would look great in a dangle earring style, I thought they would look best with a half drill and a great stud post. As with most of my designs, they started as a little something for me (I do love my pearl baubles!) I will be introducing these Angel Wing Pearl Earrings into our line this Fall.
But, the lovely ladies at tonight’s soirée get the first chance to own a pair! And to all of you who feel left out, just give me a call! I am sure I can get you a pair prior to their launch this Fall…
I am a modern day treasure hunter who travels the world for gorgeous pearls and amazing adventures. I own a pearl jewelry and jewelry repair business, ThePearlGirls.com, with a cute retail store in Athens, GA. I also have a Pearl Travel business and travel blog at TheWorldofPearl.com.
