Where should you wear pearls? To the Kentucky Derby, of course! Some people look for the hats… I look for the jewelry! I can’t wait to see all the photos from the Kentucky Derby to see who wore what. Glamour magazine did a feature on what to wear to your Kentucky Derby party (since we all can’t be there!) and they suggested a bold shift dress and pearls. Derby pearls sound like fun pearls to us! Glamour pointed out, “What says “proper belle” more than a shift dress and a strand of pearls?” We couldn’t agree more! So, in case you can’t make it to the derby with your Derby Pearls (because we all can’t make it EVERY year, right?!), then put those pearls on with you favorite shift and you are ready to go!
Now, speaking of the Derby, it is not all about the fashion! This year we are rooting for Rosie Napravnik to be the first female jockey to win the Derby! Let’s Run for the Rosie!
Maybe there will be some pearls in the winner circle! Another fun day here in the South…
