A doting Dad, a hard working, bright 17 year old and a super fun afternoon at The Pearl Girls… all for some 18 year old pearls!
Some days I know I have the best job ever and this was one of them. The first was a surprise entrance from two people who are so dear to me (our pediatrician and his wife). They were planning their daughter’s 18th birthday and they both planned (separately) to come to The Pearl Girls. When they shared their plan with each other, they finally came together! They looked around and reported they would come back with their soon to be 18 year old because, although she wanted pearls, she, “Did not want them to look like Mom’s.” Fair enough, right? So, we put Mary in the creative chair and let her design her own necklace and earrings to honor her 18th year!
Mary decided on a double chain necklace in 14 K gold with one medium drop pearl and wire wrapped 4mm pearls with another large pearl drop. We created earrings to match with the large pearls. This is one of those moments that I wish I had a fancy camera to do this necklace justice. It is truly stunning!
What comes next after her celebration? College applications! She reports she has just a couple of weeks to get them finished.
Check out her beautiful 18 year old pearls! And stay tuned for an image of her wearing them!!
