What do you get a woman who is 80 years old? How about 80 pearls for 80 years? I imagine that most women pretty much have it all by the time they reach 80 years old. They have a loving family, a lifetime of memories and they are truly enjoying the wisdom of their years. I know that my own Mom, a year shy of her 70th birthday, truly feels like she has everything if she is surrounded by her friends and family.
Well, one family came to us to ask what they should get their own Mom on her 80th birthday. This woman has been a life-long fan of The Pearl Girls. She has purchased pearls for her daughters and granddaughters but she had never actually purchased anything for herself. This family wanted to give a little pearl loving back to her! They took advantage of Abby’s new consulting hours (Abby, our Head of Production is available every Wednesday morning, from 9AM to 12PM for phone or in-person jewelry consultations!) to plan the perfect necklace with 80 pearls for 80 years. Together they decided on a mix of pink and peacock pearls. They specifically wanted the pearls be scattered along the necklace without a specific patterns the chain was longer in some places and shorter in others. And how was this well thought out and loving gift received? With tears, of course! Our dear Pearl Girl loved her 80th gift! And once again we are feeling all warm and fuzzy here at The Pearl Girls.
